Fotosöndag - Shrove Tuesday

In Sweden Shrove Tuesday is called Fettisdagen that could be translated into Fat Tuesday. And that is this weeks theme in Fotosöndag and who can resist a Semla.

Fotosöndag - Light

Yesterday I went out to our forest and took some photos. One was a photo with some great light, but I wasn't that happy with it. After som work in Photoshop it finally showed that wonderful evening light that I was trying to capture.

Fotosöndag - Midsummer

It's been a while since I participated in FotoSöndag, but this week has been all about photography so I managed to take a photo of something that first comes to my mind when I think of Swedish Midsummer. Flowers, lots and lots of flowers. So I went for a walk and picked a very traditional Swedish Midsummer bouquet.

FotoSöndag - Packaging

Todays theme is packaging. I didn't really had much time to focus on the theme, since I've been busy cleaning the house. But during that cleaning I was finally able to throw out the last remaining thing from Christmas. A big box of chocolate was empty and that packaging was pretty fun to photograph.

FotoSöndag - Freedom

Freedom that is a theme that could be interpreted in so many ways. For me this weekend is full of freedom since I have no schoolwork to do and me and my camera can go out for nice walks in this amazing winterlandscape we have now. So my freedom photo is something that I took during a walk when I really felt that freedom feeling.

Fotosöndag - Negative Space

I went out in the cold weather to find some inspiration for today's negative space theme and there she was Mrs. Great Spotted Woodpecker sitting on the highest branch in our tree. Just as she knew that I needed that kind of photo. I have done some work in Elements to get the right whitebalance and took away some branches, but that's it.

Fotosondag - Red

It's been such a long time since I posted anything here. I've been so caught up with my schoolwork that my camera hasn't been used a lot. But today's theme in Fotosondag is red and I got a little inspired and managed to take a photo with lots of red in it.

FotoSöndag - Sunday

Today the theme is a very open one that could be interpreted in soo many ways. I had taken this photo earlier today without knowing the theme but realised it would work really well.

Yes, it's eggs! I spent some part of my Sunday in my brand new kitchen baking a cake that we ate together with our neighbours.

FotoSöndag - Doldrums

Fotosöndag is back again and the theme is doldrums or calm or lull whatever you want to call it. Earlier this summer I took this photo of a leaf slowly floating around in the very calm water and I thought it worked great for this theme.

FotoSöndag - Eye-contact

I didn't have a photo for this week's FotoSöndag until we took a late walk and our neighbours was trying to rescue a Magpie baby that had fallen down from the nest. This little chick made pretty good eye-contact with us.

Fotosöndag - Work

It's no secret that I love our pond that we built in the forest. And when I was down there this morning I studied the Blue tit flying in and out from the birdhouse with food. When I got home again I realized that the photos I took of the little bird fits perfect into today's theme: Work, because the little couple really works hard to get food so the can bring their little chicks up.

FotoSöndag - Routines

I admit to being a person who really needs to follow my own routines to feel good and one of the most important thing for me is the breakfast. Nobody wants to be near me if I haven't had my breakfast. Trust me!

FotoSöndag - Light Source

In my sons room there are a lot of game consoles on each and every one of them has a little light source on them. I thougt this could be a fun way to interpret this challenge. This specific one I have taken the photo of is a pink Playstation 2 console.

FotoSöndag - Solo

Solo a subject that was tricky because there are so many options. But my family helped me chose this photo of a lonely solo pinetree.

FotoSöndag - Scent

This weeks theme is to show a scent that you may experience in the winter and one warm scent that I really like is the smell of newly brewed tea.

FotoSöndag - Panning

This weeks theme is panning and I had this great idea to get my neighbours horses to cooperate with me to get a god photo. I live in the countryside and there is really not much else to photograph when it comes to this subject. But no, they mostly stod looking at me like: What is she waiting for!

So therefore I have a photo for the theme but not a very good one.

FotoSöndag - Recreation

For me recreation is to talk a walk in the forest with my camera and then get home and sit down and edit the photos.

FotoSöndag - Expectation

Expectation or Anticipation well I feel expectation everyday before Christmas when it's time to open my adventcalendar. My husband has one with one different beer everyday and I get a nailpolish in mine :)

FotoSöndag - Abandoned

And old abandoned apple has now got a new life as birdfood!

I have two things that I collect. One is Nail Polishes and the other is Smurfs and today I decided to show up most of my Smurf collection.
