Pumpkin time!

 It's pumpkin season and I bought some small for decoration. 

Red cups

 Another Christmas still life, but this might be the last one for this year.

White Santa

 Got this cute white Santa in one of my advent calendars and felt instantly that I needed to do a Christmas still life with it. 

Autumn

 It's definitely autumn outside and the evenings are getting darker and darker. For me it's important to light up candles and make it feel cozy in the house.

The old books

 Bought these old books at a second hand shop and new that I needed to use them in a still life. Do you also get almost a Christmas feeling looking at this photo?

Is it Christmas soon?

 I really start to long for Christmas, bought this Christmas calendar with one parcel to open each of the four Advent Sundays. It consist with decorating details and is bought from Fyra årstider på Evedal. 

Å=Återbruk

The letter Å doesn't exsist in so many other languages than Swedish, but here we have it and the challenge I'm attending is Swedish so lets go for Å, Ä and Ö as well.

Återbruk is translated to english as recycling. Re using of things. I thought hard of what I had on the letter Å in my home til I remembered the candlesticks made by one of the workers at my husbands company from sheet metal that is left over from the production.

Fotosondag - Red

It's been such a long time since I posted anything here. I've been so caught up with my schoolwork that my camera hasn't been used a lot. But today's theme in Fotosondag is red and I got a little inspired and managed to take a photo with lots of red in it.

Macro Mondays - Flame

My imagination was not on top today, but I still like the flame photo I achieved. The background is actually an orchid.

Macro Mondays - Halloween

I'm not a big Halloween fan. For me living in Sweden where it's a fairly new tradition it feels like a holiday made for the stores so they can sell a lot of stuff. But I do have a pair of tealight holders that I love and that helped me get a photo for todays theme.

Macro Monday - Souvenir

This was a tricky theme! I don't really buy a lot of souvenirs. Sure I have nailpolishes I've bought while being on vacation and I had a handlotion from Prauge but small memory things, no those is not something I buy and keep.

But the area where I live is famous for their glassworks and I have of course visited the workshops and bought some glas as well. So in the end I took one of my tealight holders from Kosta Boda and took a photo of it that could very well be used as a productphoto! This holder is from their design called Mine.

Macro Mondays - Connection

This weeks theme is connection and for me the connection between a match and a candle is very important. I can't live without lighted candles.

Day 305

One year has gone, one year since you chose to leave us behind and let your tormented soul get some peace. This photo has one candle for your soul and one for the year that has past.

Day 272

It's the day before Christmas and while I was waiting for my sons train to arrive I visited the cathedral in Växjö to take some pictures. In this cathedral there is a very beautiful light carrier in form of a tree with glass leaves. I lit a candle in memory of those in my family that is no longer with us and that we miss all the time but even more around Christmas and took some time to forget about the stress outside and just felt the peaceful feeling in side the church.

Day 267

Todays theme in FotoSöndag is Candle and I couldn't resist to use my candleholders that are meant to use in the Christmas tree for living candles. I would never use these indoors in my tree, but why not take a photo outdoors this misty morning :)

Day 224

My 224th day is All Saints Day here in Sweden and therefore you will get a photo from the cemetery. I went with a very good friend to a memorial service and also lit candles on her sons grave.

Day 194

It's really windy outside and the autumn is here to stay so I stayed indoors with the candles lightened.
