Happy New Year!

Yesterday we went to a fireworkshow and I got some photos that turned out ok, so with these I want to wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christmas - 2018

I have not taken many photos this Christmas, but I've had such a wonderful holiday. Been spending time with my family instead of with my camera. Still I want to share my favorite Santa with you. I got this from my grandmother when I was a child. Unfortunatly we didn't write the year in bottom of it, but I'm sure I couldn't have been more than ten years. This is something that needs to be taken out of it's box every year.

Fotosondag - Red

It's been such a long time since I posted anything here. I've been so caught up with my schoolwork that my camera hasn't been used a lot. But today's theme in Fotosondag is red and I got a little inspired and managed to take a photo with lots of red in it.

Candy!

I needed a new photo of some candy for a challenge on Gurushot. Lucky for me my husband got some last weekend as a present that was still in the bowl. I have changed the colors a bit to make them stand out more.

Macro Mondays - B-Food

Food that starts on the letter B is todays theme. I give you some tasty basil for this challenge.

Macro Mondays - Remedy

I took some photos of my hot honey water but they didn't turn out so great. Then I took a look at our kitchen bench and saw all these beautiful red apples and remembered the frase: One apple a day, keeps the doctor away. Perfect for todays remedy theme.

I'm sorry if I've been MIA but my school takes the better of me. This weekend I've been having some time of though. We took a little trip in our veteran car and this photo was actually taken while we where driving!

FotoSöndag - Sunday

Today the theme is a very open one that could be interpreted in soo many ways. I had taken this photo earlier today without knowing the theme but realised it would work really well.

Yes, it's eggs! I spent some part of my Sunday in my brand new kitchen baking a cake that we ate together with our neighbours.

FotoSöndag - Doldrums

Fotosöndag is back again and the theme is doldrums or calm or lull whatever you want to call it. Earlier this summer I took this photo of a leaf slowly floating around in the very calm water and I thought it worked great for this theme.

Finally the rain came! And what could be better than to take photos of flowers with raindrops on? Not much :)

Butterfly

I haven't really participated in much challenges lately, been busy with other things, but I guess I should break the silence here with a photo of something I really love taking photos of. Butterflies. I have lots of flowers in the garden that should make them interested. This is a Peacock Butterfly.

We visited relatives on Öland this weekend and I got to photograph one of all the beautiful windmills on the island.

Macro Mondays - Line Symmetry

I thought it was a nature theme today, but infact you could take a photo of anything with line symmetry. Well, I found my lines on a fern outside our house.

Macro Mondays - Transportation

Todays theme is transportation and that means that you could photograph any details on something that is used for transportation. In my case I have taken a photo of the nozzle for the flushing fluid.

Dragonfly

Right now there are soo many Dragonflies of different kinds at our pond. Unfortunatly they want to fly over the water and not sit on the grass on the edges, but this one was kind to me.

Macro Mondays - Candy

My thoughts where to buy some colorful candy today, but I totally forgot about that so instead I had to use what was in my cupboards. And honestly I think it turned out rather nice.

FotoSöndag - Eye-contact

I didn't have a photo for this week's FotoSöndag until we took a late walk and our neighbours was trying to rescue a Magpie baby that had fallen down from the nest. This little chick made pretty good eye-contact with us.

Macro Mondays - All Natural

In our garden there is lots and lots of beautiful little Daisys growing and I feel a bit sorry every time my husband cuts them down with the lawn mower. So I thought they should be honored in today's All Natural theme in Macro Mondays.

Halmstad Fotomara 2018

The 26th of May Halmstad Fotoklubb arranged a photomarathon where you should take four photos of specific thems in three hours and you needed to take the photos in the right order.

The four different themes were: Moment, backlight, rythm and strength

This is my contribution and I'm very proud to say that my backlight photo came in third place in that category.

Macro Mondays - Low Key

My dad passed away over 17 years ago and I still miss him so much. One thing I have left of him is a wooden deer that he has carved. A very precious piece to me. This is what I have used as the model for my Low Key photo.

The theme this week in Smile on Saturday is catch that bokeh and I actually decided to participate with another cherry blossom photo I took last weekend.

Yesterday I went to a park in the nearby city and took some photos of Cherrytrees in full bloom. They are so beautiful this time of the year.

Fotosöndag - Work

It's no secret that I love our pond that we built in the forest. And when I was down there this morning I studied the Blue tit flying in and out from the birdhouse with food. When I got home again I realized that the photos I took of the little bird fits perfect into today's theme: Work, because the little couple really works hard to get food so the can bring their little chicks up.

After getting some upsetting news I went out for a walk to try to find something to photograph for todays theme in Macro Mondays and I am so happy with what I found.

Smile On Saturday - Two-gether

Yesterday we and our good friends went out in the forest and had a barbeque. Sausages never tastes better than eaten out in the nature! I took this photo and just realized that it's perfect for today's theme two-gether. What is could symbolize that more than a mother and daughter sharing a moment of joy.

What could be better to take a photo of for a theme called the Blues than a blue smurf and also a blue smurf that reads blue poems.

I admit to being a person who really needs to follow my own routines to feel good and one of the most important thing for me is the breakfast. Nobody wants to be near me if I haven't had my breakfast. Trust me!

Macro Mondays - Once Upon A Time

This week we should take photos of things that makes you think of old fairy tales and folk stories. I really didn't have a lot of options, but in many stories there are wizards or sorcerers and we have a board game with wizard hats that was perfect to use for this.

A rare visitor!

Yesterday I noticed a bird that I had not seen before at our birdhouse. Today I managed to get a photo (through the kitchen window!) and with the help of a great group on Facebook I got to know that this is a Hawfinch. It's so fun discovering new species that visits us the get some food in this very cold an snowy weather.

Macro Mondays - Less Than An Inch!

Sometimes the photos that you don't really work or think to hard about how you should take becomes the best ones. This is an idea I got an 10 minutes later or ok maybe 20 the photo was taken and edited.

Macro Mondays - Fastener

I wish that I would have had a bit more fantasy today, but things didn't work out the way I planned them today and I wasn't really in the mood to find fasteners around my house. But I still managed to get a photo.

Macro Mondays - In A Bottle

I took a lot of photos of a brown bottle with water in it and waterdrops on it. They look ok, then I got this idea to use my nail art glitter and stars and kind of make them swirl around in the water in a clear bottle and I have to say I kind of like the result.

FotoSöndag - Light Source

In my sons room there are a lot of game consoles on each and every one of them has a little light source on them. I thougt this could be a fun way to interpret this challenge. This specific one I have taken the photo of is a pink Playstation 2 console.

Smile On Saturday - Heart Shaped

I found a new theme group on Flickr that I joined. In this the posting day is Saturdays and this specific Saturday the theme is Heart Shaped.

I did take some different kind of photos with hearts, but my husband said this was the best one.
