I challenged myself with project 365 I would take one photo a day and publish it here. Not any special theme, but no photos taken with autofunction. All should be taken fully manual or semi manual with my Nikon D5500. And i did it I managed to do so 1 photo each day for a year. That year is over, but I will continue to post photos here. But not one each day :) I will continue to challenge myself with new technics and motives.
For quite some time ago I bought a set of colourful cups that I had this idea of filling with flowers or berries and make a still life of. Well now I have completed all of the cups and why not give you a summary of how it turned out. Please tell me if you have a favourite.
I found this lovely bowl online and just had to buy it (at Tradera). And when it arrived I realised that it would look great with spring flowers from the garden in it. So into the garden I went to pick flowers and make an arrangement.
It's time for the next of my beautiful colourful cups to be used in a still life. It's spring time outside and I found some Grape Hyacinths that worked very well with my cobalt blue cup.
Ok so I guess you know that in Sweden we love our Swedish Fika and the weeks before Easter it's a pastry called Semla that is the big thing. I couldn't resist buying one the other day, and before it was eaten (it was delicious) I took this photo.
So I usually attend a group called Macro Mondays on Flickr. Every Monday there is a new theme and it has to be a macro photo. This week the theme was sphere. I had an idea and went on to find my old marbles. I really like the simplicity of this photo

I took a still life photo of my colourful cups yesterday, was pretty happy with the photo, but a friend of mine commented that it was way to little Smurfs in the photo. We can not have it that way so of course I took some more photos :)

Saw this on an auction site and just couldn't resist it. It turned out into a Christmas still life.
Couldn't wait any longer.. it was time for a Christmas still life. This is also a part of my series of photos with small colourful (is black colourful??) espresso cups. Black and red always works so great together.
I bought these small cups and my plan was to take a photo with matching flowers in each. The red one didn't become flowers in but Lingonberry's that I thought made a perfect match.
For the first time in a long time I felt like shooting a still life. So I took my Dahlia arrangement (from my garden) and did a still life and I really like how it turned out.
Today is the first day of summer (at least according to me) and I have made a summer still life with my favourite pink cup! I really don't know what kind of flower this is.
I found the most adorable cups on Tradera and just had to have them. I saw so many different photo options with them. And now when the spring finally seems to make its entrance why not use the pretty green one with some cute Snowdrops? So that is what I have been doing on this weeks day of.
It' s not that long until Christmas and I am making Christmas still life photos. Really like this one with my own baked saffron buns.
Today is Kladdkakans (sticky chocolate cakes) day in Sweden. I made a version of that in the shape of cookies and felt like I needed to make a still life.
I realise that it's a lot of flowers right now on this blog, but I try to enjoy my flowers in the garden as long as I can, soon the frost is here and the flowers are no more.
I also found this bottle in the barn, it has belonged to my grandmother and I thought it would be great for a still life, and I think it worked out very well.
Yesterday I went on a bouquet binding class, a short but very nice one and this is what I came home with.
