Day 5

I'm seriously starting to think that my Budgies have some sort of pact against me. Meaning that they wont move or do anything that could look nice on a photo as long as I have the camera in their room!

So instead I went hunting for other animals...

Sometimes you just have to be a little childish and play around a bit.

Day 4

Yet another day I thought I would publish a picture of our budgies, but no. No pictures that was fun enough today either.

Instead I did something I have wanted to try for sometime now. Taking pictures of waterdrops. Fun, but not as easy as one can think.

I think I might have taken about 500 photos before I got the one that I was totally satisfied with. And yes it is a bit edited in Photoshop, but I really like the end result.

Day 3

My mission today was to take a fun photo of our budgies an publish, but they didn't understand that the camera wasn't dangerous and refused to do any fun things at all but stare at me.

So I went to plan B and took the camera out for a walk in the forrest outside our house where our neighbour has built a waterwheel in a small stream.

I also realise how much I have used the automatic function in my D3300 and D5500 and how fun it is to use manuell instead.

That is part of this challenge for me. Not to take photos with the automatic function.

Day 2

I wanted to challenge myself to take pictures I normally wouldn't do. And one of those things are portraits.

I asked my son to modell for me and he is a pretty easy person to photograph. I converted it to black and white since I feel that portraits often works better that way.

I'm well aware of the fact that this might not be a masterpiece, but I like how it turned out anyway.

So this is my photo for day 2.

Day 1

Today is the 27th of March 2016 and my first day of the project 365.

I had some photos that was ok, but my husband helped me chose this one of a rusty old wheel infront of our barn door.

Why?

Why is the question?

First what is project 365? Well it's a photo challenge meaning that you will take your expensive not used enough camera out every day and take a picture of your own choice and publish it somewere. And I have chosen to do this in a photoblog and also on flickr.

So why am I doing this?

I have been taking photos with DSLR cameras since I was 20 and that was a while ago... When I started it was no automatic versions you could use shutter priority but thats it. And there was no Digital cameras either. You had to wait to get your film developed before you could see the results of your pictures.

Now I have an Nikon D5500 that I use way to little and feels like this could be the change of it. So wish me luck with my project.

Who am I?

My name is Helena and I live in the south of Sweden in a small village with my husband and one of my sons.
