Macro Mondays - Redux 2019

This week we got to chose a favorite theme from 2019 and use that again. I liked curves so that is what I reused. Thanks to my husbands whiskeybottle and our Christmas tree I created this photo.

The Mouse

I found this poor little creature in a mouse trap this morning. Very much alive, so I sat it free in the garden and hope it made it. It was a bit in shock when I first released it so that's why I could get this close and take the photo.

Macro Mondays - Chain

Macro Mondays - Red

Candy time!

Felt like taking some studio photos today and found some chocolate that probably should have been eaten a while ago.

Spooky feeling!

Long time since I posted anything here, have been busy with my studies and haven't really had time to go on photo walks or edit any photos. But the other day I got some feeling when the fog rolled in. I edited the photo a bit in PS and is really happy with the end result.

Macro Mondays - In A Row

Todays theme was easy to work out since I just got some new nail polish bottles in different grey tones and these bottles are pretty small and perfect to take a photo with the theme in a row with.

Autumn!

The autumn is here and that means lots of lovely colors on the leaves. I went down to the old mill and took some water photos yesterday.

A female Mallard in our pond!

A couple of weeks ago when I walked down to the pond I found a single female Mallard swimming around there. She was kind enough to let me take som portraits of her.

Macro Mondays - Goes Together Like

Well, there are so many things that goes together like a horse and carriage but my eyes caught this pretty little mushroom in the forest one of those who can not live without moss.

Water!

Been on a little expedition today. My mission was to use my ND-filters and I found a great spot for that the other day. Only the second time using them, so I think I did pretty good.

I was a bit too tired to have my imagination working today, but i still managed to find something that could represent the theme closed.

European Green Woodpecker

Had some really nice company in the garden yesterday morning. Got late to work since I had to take some photos of this beautiful European Green Woodpecker.

Macro Mondays - Complementary Colours

Today's theme is complementary colours. You know colours that is opposite to each other on the colour wheel. My first thought was that I should buy some strawberrys and take photos of, but then I realized that I had the perfect opposite colours right at my backdoor. The tomato plant!

Macro Mondays - Made of Wood

I thought this would be an easy theme, but it turned out that I didn't have as much things made of wood as I thougth. In the end it became a compromise because the little toy train is certinaly made of wood even if it's wheels isn't.

Macro Mondays - Gone Fishing!

This is so NOT a perfect theme for someone who actually has fish fobia, but I still couldn't resist to contribue. Because what looks more peaceful and calm than a person sitting with a fishing rod a warm summers evening.

Yesterday we went to an old yunk yard that now has turned into a nature reserve and car graveyard.

Macro Mondays - Patterns In Nature

Taking a walk you can see soo many wonderful patterns in the nature surrounding you. This amazing butterfly sat down on a flower just beside me.

Macro Mondays - Danger

I wanted to take a photo of something that no one else would think of for the theme danger, but my imagination wasn't on top. But I really like how this photo came out anyway.

Macro Mondays - Wheel(s)

Any one else that remembers the old tapes you used to have and the everlasting rolling when the tape had to be rolled in to the casette again. Well this weeks theme is wheel(s) and this was actually one of the first kind of wheel that came to my mind.

Fotosöndag - Midsummer

It's been a while since I participated in FotoSöndag, but this week has been all about photography so I managed to take a photo of something that first comes to my mind when I think of Swedish Midsummer. Flowers, lots and lots of flowers. So I went for a walk and picked a very traditional Swedish Midsummer bouquet.

Macro Mondays - Curves

Fun theme this monday. I took my new camera and my old Tamron SP 90 lens on a walk and took this photo with some curves in it.

European Pied Flycatcher

This has been a great week when it comes to photo equipment for me. Got my new camera and some new lenses as well. Will be lots of fun. I tried my new Tamron 150-600 mm lens yesterday and so far I'm happy with it, but I need to get to know it better of course.

This poor little bird must have a bad pain in it's neck!

Halmstad Fotomara 2019

A few weeks ago I participated in Halmstad Fotomara and today after the price ceremony we were allowed to publish the photos. No prize for me this year, but an honorable mention for my Illusion photo.

The themes were as follow: Golden Edge, Wrinkles, Illussion, In the wrong place.

Violet

After the last day of school was finished the other day I took a walk with my camera with me. Found some nice flowers and this is one of them.

Enchanted Forest

Do you know that feeling when you take a photo and have a clear vision of what you want it to look like and it just dosen't turn out that way? I was out in the forest a couple of weeks ago and that is exactly what happened. Well, the other day I decided not to give up on that photo. I sat down and played with in PsE and suddenly the photo I had visioned  was there.

Roe Deer

Yesterday, when I went down to eat some breakfast this beautiful roe deer was standing in the middle of the field outside our house. I just had to go out and take some photos.

Macro Mondays - Pastel

Family meeting!

We bought a new bowl for the birds to drink and take a bath in and it looks like the Eurasian Tree Sparrows really like it.

Mother to be

I was asked by a good friend to take some photos of her while she still was pregnant with her second child. I did the same first time around. I am certinaly not a professional at this, but it was fun and turned out totally ok.

Common Caffinch

It's been so quite here. I have not had much time to edit my photos and enter competitions but today I managed to get a pretty nice photo of a common caffinch.

FotoSöndag - Packaging

Todays theme is packaging. I didn't really had much time to focus on the theme, since I've been busy cleaning the house. But during that cleaning I was finally able to throw out the last remaining thing from Christmas. A big box of chocolate was empty and that packaging was pretty fun to photograph.

Macro Monday - Hole

So glad that I walked out on this windy day to find a hole to take a picture of. I think I found the perfect one that fits well this week with Valentine's Day coming up.

Macro Monday - Brew

A theme that means you should show something to do with brewing coffee, tea or somekind of drink that is being brewed. Well, I don't drink coffee, but tea is something that is really nice, so it had to be something to do with tea.

FotoSöndag - Freedom

Freedom that is a theme that could be interpreted in so many ways. For me this weekend is full of freedom since I have no schoolwork to do and me and my camera can go out for nice walks in this amazing winterlandscape we have now. So my freedom photo is something that I took during a walk when I really felt that freedom feeling.

Macro Mondays - Cloth

Hm, this didn't feel like a very exiting theme at first, but not so boring at all to be honest. It was quite fun to look around for fabrics to use.

Fotosöndag - Negative Space

I went out in the cold weather to find some inspiration for today's negative space theme and there she was Mrs. Great Spotted Woodpecker sitting on the highest branch in our tree. Just as she knew that I needed that kind of photo. I have done some work in Elements to get the right whitebalance and took away some branches, but that's it.

Macro Mondays - Pick Two

This week we got two different lists with words that should be combined into one combination. I chose a simple one. Twisted Candy. As we have a very limited size to these photos my favorite wasn't going to work and my husband liked this very Swedish inspired candy the best.

Macro Mondays - Hobby

It's no secret that my big hobby apart from taking photos is nail polish. I have a nail polish blog that I've been posting in for six years and my collection is always growing. So I didn't have to think twice on what to show for todays theme.

Macro Mondays - White on White

To photograph something white against a white background is a bit of a challenge. I did pretty well actually, but I will admit to doing some adjustments in Elements, not much though. This little meringue is actually only 4 mm big.

Blue tit

I love watching the birds at my birdfeeding stations, and yesterday I finally took the time to get the camera out and take some photos. My absolute favorite is the bullfinch, but we don't have many here at all, so instead I give you a portrait of a blue tit.
